Meet the Coach Who Built This Gym
At 4 Seasons Fitness, the person who opened the doors is the same person who trains you. Dave Macaluso — NSCA-CSCS certified, 20 years in the industry, NCAA athlete — didn’t build this gym to hand it off to staff. He built it because the Flathead Valley deserved a place where the coaching is real and the results follow.

Why I Started 4 Seasons Fitness
I’ve been in the fitness industry for over 20 years — as an athlete, a coach, a gym manager, and a trainer. Long enough to see what works and what doesn’t. Long enough to watch the industry get taken over by social media influencers selling shortcuts and gyms that prioritize memberships over results.
My first personal training client lost over 150 pounds in 10 months. We ran 5K races together. That experience showed me what’s possible when you combine the right coaching, the right accountability structure, and a genuine relationship between a coach and a client. That’s what I built 4 Seasons Fitness around.
I grew up competing as an NCAA athlete. That background taught me what it feels like to train with real purpose — and it shaped how I coach. Every individual is different physically and emotionally. There is no cookie-cutter approach. A program that works for a competitive athlete is not the same program that works for a 50-year-old who wants to move better and feel stronger. I take the time to understand who I’m working with before I build a single workout.

What I Believe About Fitness
Better health creates better people. When clients make genuine progress — when they start sleeping better, moving more freely, handling stress differently — that improvement doesn’t stay in the gym. It shows up in their family life, their work, and how they carry themselves every day.
My job isn’t just to build stronger bodies. It’s to help people understand that consistency is built through small, attainable goals — not dramatic overhauls. Obstacles will happen. Life will get in the way. A good support system is what keeps people moving forward through all of it. That’s the culture I’ve tried to create here.
I started 4 Seasons Fitness because I wanted to be part of this community in a meaningful way — not just as a business, but as a resource. A place where people feel welcomed the first time they walk in, and where they’re still growing five years later. Welcoming, motivating, authentic. Those are the three words I want members to use when they describe this gym.

Dave’s Qualifications
Three Core Values
Impact
Everything at 4 Seasons Fitness is designed to produce real, measurable change in the people who train here — not temporary motivation, not a 30-day challenge. Impact means someone is genuinely different six months from now than they are today.
Development
Development doesn’t stop at the gym floor. Understanding fitness, nutrition, sleep, hydration, and recovery isn’t a bonus — it’s a core part of what makes the results here last.
Excellence
Excellence is a standard that applies to the facility, the coaching, and the culture. Clean equipment, programs that are built with care, and a community where every person — regardless of experience level — is treated with the same level of attention and respect.
Rooted in the Flathead Valley
4 Seasons Fitness is more than a business in Whitefish. Dave’s vision is a gym that’s fully developed and deeply involved in the community — providing a culture of accountability, education, and acknowledgement for everyone who walks through the door.
That means showing up for Flathead Valley residents not just during their training sessions, but as a consistent, trusted presence in the community. Serving members from Whitefish, Kalispell, Columbia Falls, Bigfork, Evergreen, Lakeside, and Somers isn’t just a service area — it’s a commitment to the people and families across this valley who are trying to live better, healthier lives.
